Pettit's analysis of freedom has inspired a number of recent works bypolitical theorists sympathetic to the republican tradition. FrankLovett has developed an account of domination as a descriptiveconcept, and of justice as the minimization of domination (Lovett2010). Several other authors have made use of the concept ofdomination in addressing more specific problems in normative politicaltheory, such as disability rights, workplace democracy, socialequality, and education policy (De Wispelaere and Casassas 2014; Breenand McBride 2015).
